Heaven. Simply, Heaven.” – Bond, The Man with the Golden Gun.

The Ayii Anargyri Spa resort is buried deep beneath a valley of mature trees up the hills, 30 minutes north of Pafos. In the spring of 2009 Ayii Anargyri Spa resort opened its doors to present the world with a sublime experience. The resort offers a unique retreat, a place of profound calm and the opportunity to enjoy the health-giving waters which have benefited visitors for so many years. The Spa was first formally opened in 1649 by two brothers, Cosmas and Damianos. Their generosity in offering treatment often without thought of reward gave rise to the name Anargyri – without silver. They became known and loved locally for their selfless acts and affectionately known as saints.

ROOM 35

Fifty six rooms offer luxury, charm and personal service found in only the most superior boutique hotels. As it’s a couples retreat, expect to have some amorous neighbours. The guy next to me fucked like a champ all the way through our stay. At times I was tempted to rattle on his door and say, “Look dude mind keeping it down, I can’t hear myself having sex over you having sex.”

THE SPA

This boutique hotel with accommodation for 150 guests, in Garden Suites, Bungalows or Classic rooms, has dedicated spa facilities in the grounds, a generous swimming pool and conference facilities for 50 people. Cuisine from locally grown produce will reveal all that is best in traditional Cypriot fare – food that is garden fresh, nutritious, flavoursome. The hotel provides the means to benefit from the time-tested remedies of the mineral rich waters which flow here – but there is so much more. An abundance of scenic attractions will delight any nature lover. I recommend treating yourself to a variety of massages available. Thai massage, Indian head massages, exfoliating facials and the deep tissue massages will leave you limber. I felt like I could do the Eliminator on Gladiators by the end of the week, or wrestle with Jet on the rings! Hmmmm…… Jet.

THE GYM

Even managed a few work outs over the Chrimbo period. The gym has a treadmill with a view, a plethora of weights and other cardio machines for those that are looking to improve their body goals for 2017.

THE SERVICE

The service was possibly my biggest takeaway. The waiters and barmen worked tirelessly through the holiday season at the expense of being with their families. The barman Denis rustled up some fantastic cocktails in the bar lounge. In the restaurant the likes of Savvos, Nikas, Mirka and Koalla became like extended family.
