Pete I get it, you went to Vietnam.

I know, it’s getting tough to say, ‘taken from a recent trip’ because I went around April time. (1974). But some people might be interested. If you are going to Vietnam I recommend this place. Only discovered in the last 100 or so years I think.

There’s a good article on the ruins here.

Basically to get any decent pictures you need to get your tour guide to get you down here at the crack of fuck. After we left at about 10-ish it was already starting to fill up with tourists.

It’s sad, some of these beautiful buildings were demolished during the Vietnam War. Some buildings are being restored, others are too far gone. You’ll even walk through bomb craters.

The missus says this place has nothing on the ruins of Angkor Wot.

I said ‘Angkor Where?’

‘Angkor Wat.’ She said.

‘Angkor Where?’

‘Angkor Wat.’ ….. and on in to the afternoon.
