Before we get into the review lets take a quick look at the company Nature’s Dream who were kind enough to send me on the sample for review.

Who are Natures Dream?

Established in 2000, with the sole aim of bringing the then unknown Naturtint brand to the UK consumer, Nature’s Dream is now one of the leading suppliers of health, wellbeing and beauty product to the UK & Irish retail market.

They develop strategic channel strategies and marketing campaigns to build brand awareness, increase market share and maximise sales. All the brands and products they champion use a balance of natural ingredients respectfully manufactured and  organic.

I heard about this new product that was being released by one of the brands they have on their books Natura Siberica called Northern Soap, a deep cleansing charcoal face cleaner. Of course my interest was piqued so I reached out and asked them to send me a sample which they kindly did. (By the way doesn’t Natura Siberica sound like the hottest Bond girl ever?).

Who are Natura Siberica?

Natura Siberica products are based on the traditional remedies of ancient Siberian tribes. To survive the extreme Siberian conditions, endemic and adaptogenic herbs and plants synthesize highly protective active ingredients and have extraordinary antioxidant properties.

I’m going to put a link to the product here so you can find out more information of the ingredients. I experimented with some of this soap expecting it to have a very dry abrasive effect on my grill. I even contemplated keeping it to one side for face camouflage next time I get dragooned into paintballing. I guess you should never judge a product by it’s colour because once you lather this up on the sponge that comes with the product, it’s not in the least bit coarse. It’s surprising soft and lathers up nicely.

In fact you only need a little bit and I’m really applying it as warpaint in the picture below so you have an idea. In reality it’s more transparent and foamy when applied. The highly absorbent activated carbon is designed to draw impurities from deep within the skin, leaving it smooth and replenished.

After the experience I dove on lone expecting this new fangled thing to be worth a kings ransom, amazed to find it retailing at £11.99. My grill feels awesome now. You’re only supposed to use it once every or twice a week which is a shame. Will have to just periodically whiff the stuff because it smells fantastic. If you want to know more about the benefits of charcoal soap in particular someone from StyleCraze has done a good article and I’m going to leave a link to that here.
