Way back when, we highlighted Aline Castilia on the blog as an up and coming actress. I thought it was about time we had a catch up. She’s landed one of the leading roles in a film by Emhyr Alharic called Glorious Dead.

Aline Castilia tell me what you can about the movie Glorious Dead?

Hi, thank you! Glorious Dead, it’s an interesting movie. It’s made by different stories of different people from around the world.

There is the whole world in this film, it’s all about love, pain, fame, hope, hopelessness. Glorious dead is a real story with elements of fantasy.

Tell me more about your character?

Emhyr Alharic – the director of the movie is a good psychologist, he feels people very well. He has chosen the right role for me, the girlfriend of Lucifer.

I play a fantastic character. She is very unpredictable – soft but in the same time powerful, playful but direct. This role was a good experience for me.

I had a great team working on Glorious Dead. It’s made by Nez group headed by the producer Rita Jhawar, Emhyr is best known for his film, Lust and director of photography Sanchayan Chakraborty.

It was great working with such talented actors as Sokol Martin Pepkolaj and Parijat Chakraborty and others .

Where was it shot?

There was so many locations. My part was shot in France -Cannes, Grasse. Others in Benares, Himalayas etc.

So what’s next for you Aline Castilia?

I don’t know why everything in my life is exactly opposite. First I directed films, after I went to study directing. Next I participated in a fashion week, after I decided to practice catwalk. Guess what I can do after the  Red Carpet?!

Of course going to study acting! Ahaha, so yes at the moment I am very busy studying in The London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art. So that’s what I really need at the moment, I am so happy doing it.
