Episode 17 – Bobby Morelli talks Tom Ford

This week on the From Tailors With Love podcast, Matt Spaiser from the Suits of James Bond and I, talk to Bobby Morelli from Matched Perfectly.

Bobby is a keen James Bond fan and loves the sartorial side of Bond as equally as the movies. He has a great collection of the Tom Ford limited edition perfumes and he gives us an insight on which ones to wear for different occasions.

As an aside, if you’re interested in learning more about Tom Ford and his fragrances you can catch my mate Carl Thompson over on his blog.

He has written extensively about Tom Ford over the years and produces fantastic product imagery for his blog posts.

Matt talks about the movie The Last Valley. Never heard of it before in my life but I will probably catch it on a rainy day when the missus is out. Brian Trenchard-Smith (who?) gives a quick 3 minute run down in the YouTube vid below.

Me in Key West

I talk/whittle on extensively about my trip to Florida Keys. I don’t have time to upload anything of note right now, but will do over the next couple of weeks.

For now you’ll have to suffer a picture of me at the Hemingway house and Museum where Timothy Dalton was asked to give up his firearm.

We’re not a country club 007!’

It didn’t make the show but..

In other news we spoke at length about the postponed release date and the new writer coming in to punch up the script. We didn’t really have anything new to add to this debate apart from me calling Purvis and Wade talent vacuums.

Previous guest on the show David Leigh from the Bond Dossier is covering those stories quite well on his Instagram.

Timmy is looking good in Doom Patrol, has anyone seen it? He’s looking rather bedraggled in his thick woollen blazers, beard and cardigans. But it’s great to see him back on mainstream TV.

Sunspel in New York

Previous guest on the show David Zaritsky has released a video on The Bond Experience, giving his audience the tour of the new Sunspel store in New York.
