I was gifted this jacket in a small. Not for review purposes I might add, just through the kindness of the CEO of Frahm Jacket, Nick Hussey.
The jacket looks almost green in the photos, but this is Navy Blue. It does come in 4 colours and although I was partial to the racing red, my girlfriend convinced me the Navy Blue would be a more versatile colour.
What I really like about this jacket is the scalloped cuffs. This is a design-led jacket and the cuffs are the most prominent feature. As someone that has grown up with tranformers I always liked the Decepticon planes, Skyscream, Thrust and Thundercracker (I reeled those off without Googling thank you). When in robot form they had guns on the forearm, and these scalloped cuffs has an effigy of that.
The coat isn’t overly warm for winter, but not every day requires a winter coat and I’m happy to wear this most days for dog walks. It’s formal enough to wear over a white shirt and tie which I have done on a few occasions.
The collar has a fleece lining so it’s comfortable around the neckline. The stainless gunmetal zips are on every pocket. I’m not a fan of zips on skirt pockets as it’s too rough on the hands. But that’s personal preference. The zips are solid but not branded.
The care label is sewn into the jacket which I like. Overall this is a very functional jacket that has already got a lot of use.
I’m a size small in most things and this is a decent comfortable fit. I’m 5,6″ and with a 36.5 chest.
This Harrington Racer jacket is currently available through the Frahm Jacket website.
